Update On Algird Norkus Fraud...
Aurora ponzi scheme mastermind Algird Norkus was sentenced last week by U.S. District Judge Frederick J. Kapala to 63 months in federal prison for mail fraud. He also was ordered to serve three years of supervised release after he gets out of prison, and to pay restitution of $4,560,975.40. Many of the victims of his scheme wished to see a far greater sentence but the judge followed the no longer mandatory sentencing guidelines in imposing the sentence. We continue to represent approximately 50 of his victims in lawsuits and arbitration claims attempting to recoup stolen funds from his previous employers like Madison Avenue Securities.
